Aged Mandarin Orange Peel
Also known as Chen Pi. It is made from a special kind of mandarin orange peel
commonly used in TCM. Like Pu’er tea, Chen Pi gets more valuable as it ages.
Making of Chen Pi: Air-dry the orange peel under the sun then store it in a sealed device for 60-150 days, humidify with air of 80% humidity to soften the peel. Tie the peel after it is softened, airdried and sun dried before storing it in a cool, dry place.
Ideally, the peel should only be used the following year. Only then can the medicinal
value of Chen Pi be enhanced. Fresh mandarin orange peel does not have the medicinal
effects of Chen Pi.

Liu Bao Tea
A black tea from Guangxi, China. It was made famous by the tin miners in Malaysia
during the tin mining boom in 1970s. Many tin miners toiled with their upper body
exposed to the hot sun and their feet soaked in water the whole day. The heat was
unbearable and many were starting to experience symptoms of rheumatism. Over time
the tin miners discovered that consumption of a pot of Liu Bao tea from Guangxi can cool
down the body heat and remove internal moisture. Gradually their rheumatism symptoms
disappeared.
Malaysia’s weather is ideal for aging of Liu Bao tea. It can be stored for decades under
this unique weather condition.
